OUR ACTIVITIES

Sustainability and Environment

Caring for the environment is a priority in all our activities. We carry out reforestation programs and produce forest seedlings to protect coffee-growing areas. We implement regenerative organic farming practices and agroforestry systems that promote biodiversity. We also develop projects to measure and reduce our environmental footprint, seeking to produce carbon-neutral coffee. These actions guarantee the conservation of natural areas and the responsible use of resources, ensuring a sustainable future for our communities.

Productive Diversification

With the aim of improving family finances, the cooperative promotes productive diversification. It encourages the implementation of alternative crops such as avocado, cacao, and organic gardens, generating new sources of income. In addition, we have our own plant for the production of organic fertilizers, improving soil fertility. Beekeeping and small animal husbandry are encouraged, providing additional business opportunities. These initiatives strengthen the economic security of families and promote sustainability on their plots of land.

Education and Training

The cooperative promotes education as the foundation for community development. It supports higher education for members’ children, facilitating opportunities for professional growth. It also develops training programs in coffee farming and cooperativism aimed at young people and producers. These programs include technical topics on production, harvesting, and post-harvesting. It also encourages the training of community leaders, strengthening their abilities to take on leadership roles and ensure the sustainability of the organization.

Social and Community Development

Our social commitment is reflected in initiatives that strengthen farming families. We have programs to empower women and young people, encouraging their participation in decision-making. We organize food and craft fairs that generate alternative income and promote local talent. We also have health funds and solidarity support for emergency situations. These actions promote female leadership and community integration, strengthening the social fabric and active participation in the management of the cooperative.

Innovation and Research

Innovation is key to continuously improving coffee quality. That is why we conduct studies on varieties to obtain beans with better flavor and yield attributes. We experiment with processing methods that allow our batches to stand out in international markets. In addition, we have incorporated digital weather stations and traceability systems for more precise control. These technological projects increase the cooperative’s productivity and competitiveness, ensuring that our processes are at the forefront of the coffee sector.
